How do I start?
Patient is supine.
What happens?
The examiner places their hands over the patient's **Anterior Superior Iliac Spines (ASIS)** and applies a firm, sustained **downward and outward (anterior distraction)** force to separate the anterior aspects of the pelvis.

Reproduction of the patient's **posterior pain** (in the SI joint or buttock).

This maneuver stresses the anterior sacroiliac ligaments. It is one of the cluster tests for SI joint pain.
