How do I start?

Patient is supine, lying on the edge of the table near the affected shoulder. Arm is abducted to 90°.

What happens?

The examiner applies an **axial load (compression)** through the humerus and simultaneously **externally rotates** the shoulder.

What Does a Positive Result Mean?

The reproduction of the patient's pain or a **clicking/clunking sensation** during the maneuver.

Helpful Tip:

A relatively new test that has shown good accuracy for detecting superior labral tears.
