How do I start?

What happens?

The examiner uses one hand to stabilize the posterior aspect of the clavicle while applying an **anteroinferior force** to the acromion with the heel of the other hand.

Pain located specifically over the **AC joint** during the maneuver.

Helpful Tip:

This test compresses the AC joint, which should provoke pain if the joint capsule or cartilage is damaged.
